Koh (Lanta+PhiPhi) & Phuket Part 2

PHIPHI

Took an hour ferry ride and we reached PhiPhi. My favourite island that is.. Where all the party and young people reside. heh heh.

Checked into our hotel and started exploring already. Roamed the small little alleys and fixed lunch at one of the legit looking eateries.

Every meal NEEDS to have a tomyum soup. haha. Followed by stire fried vegetables and prolly a meat or green curry. the super standard meals we had everyday.

Good thing about phiphi is, even if you have nothing to do, you WILL have something to do. Had our lunch fix, done with roaming around & decided to stone on the sunbeds till evening.

Sadly, there were some construction going on in the sea. Yes, literally moving the consturction vehicle into the sea. So the view wasnt that pretty as before..& the tide was low, so its full of drapes of stone and ugly seaweeds. hah.

Banana pancakes and snacks were super easy to reach near the sunbeds. How could I NOT EAT SUCH FAB STUFFS! Banana pancakes + Watermelon juice are some serious best combination for the sweltering heat and slightly hungry tumtums.

Nevertheless, a shot of us being sunkissed before the sun went down and the night life starts....

First night like that! G was amazed with how the normal looking beach we saw converted to a crazy blastoff. All the fire show and stunts were pretty wows. Roamed from bars to bars and finally settled at Ibiza, my favorite place! G got her fierce neon tattoo done up and a really huge one too. haha.

The nights was really really mad...

Koh (Lanta+PhuPhi) & Phuket Part 1

I might just love Thailand!

Kicked off Feb15 in Phuket/Koh Lanta/Koh PhiPhi!! Like how life there is not as crazy and hectic in SG. Isn't just me, or... that I kinda like having that relaxed feeling that the airport has before leaving SG... Met in the wee hours and settled for breakfast before taking offffff~

Technically didnt stay at Phuket at all. Flew to Phuket and immediately went on a ferry to Koh Lanta. Travelling to the islands were a slight hassle I would say...nevertheless... am still captivated by the vast vast vast M.O.S (MountainOceanSun) haha.

With the help of the locals, managed to make our way to Long Beach. Caught a glimpse of the sunset and continued swaying pass the soft sand and observing the all time summer~ before we settled for dinner near the beach. So romantic. hehe.

Everything seems so tropical. and every meal had to be a fresh coconut juice, else my 2nd option was carefully watermelon juice only. haha. so much for wanting to try new things..

Lanta was pretty laidback I would say.. Much more spacious and it seemed like time stopped for a while. Trust me to say that we were prolly the only Asian tourist there. Didnt have much of an itinerary when we were there. Checked into our lodging and started to search whats the "top must do!" in Lanta, and also recommended by the staff to go Koh Rok.

Koh Rok

On the way to Koh Rok, we were prolly still in sleep mode when the staff picked us up and officially got awaken by the vast amount of wind from every direction when we got on the lorry!! So much for trying to look neat on the right.

The wind.. was prolly THE WIN for our shots turning out effortlessly artistic. haha.

Spent the next day at Koh Rok and it was so so so chiooooooooo! Snorkelled twice and that was the first ever time I tried snorkelling. Pretty amazed by how the underwater world looks so much different from the everyday daylight that we see. Fishes and fishes... colorful fishes everywhere. Corals and corals...hugeass corals everywhere.

Ferry dropped us off on the island itself and we did some self explorations. Walked along the beach and made friends with the angry waves of Koh Rok. haha. So much for getting momentarily slapped by waves.

Much love for the deep blue sea and tropical land...

The whole day tour ended and we took an hour stroll to the nearest and also the closest street food galore we chanced upon whilst the lorry brought us back after the island tour. Yes, an hour was the closest.

The street food was pretty legit. Visited this tent twice cos at least I know what im gna eat here. Those ferociously red meat at that corner were seriously that red and super yummy too! Gave up trying this bowl of Meesua looking noodles after one mouth of the sause/soup and some fried beehoon which in my opinion, had a taste of lemon/lime which is weird., still not so adventurous after all.. haha.

Then, took a super slowwwwww long walk back again. We literally walked till sunset and moon rise.
So therapeutic to walk aimlessly sometimes, and stop by at random mama shops to try out ice creams that Singapore doesnt have. Talk about being kids all over again... haha.

& next day, we were ready and set for Phiphi!!~
