Clear blue skies, clear blue sea. Clearly Koh Phi Phi is where I wanna be...
Short escapade with Sing early in November to the vast land of smiles & I gotta say, thank you Sing! For planning most of it; from booking hotels, researching on where's good to go and must visits. Feeling all touristy, here's a mandatory shot of us before leaving SG.
Touched down Krabi in the afternoon and finally settled at our hotel in the early evening. Bunked for the night at Goodwill Hotel and got our ferry tickets for PhiPhi settled!
Explored the streets of Krabi Town whilst finding the most ideal and Thai looking diner to fix our thai food cravings.
Krabi Town was kinda alright. Not much hapz place that made us wanna walk in straight away.Almost every diner there had pasta, pizza and western food.
After a long walk, finally settled at this place which had an open air concept which was pretty welcoming.
We were careful to chose where we would eat cos we wanted to the most authentic of the authentic thai food we could ever have.
First meal in Krabi Town. and being SGreans, we couldn't resist snapping and snapping food of the day/thai of the day/dinner of the day shots.
Tomyum soup x1 Stir fried vegetables x1 seafood x1 chicken x1 watermelon juice x1 coconutjuice x1 ric ex2.
Unknowingly, these were what we ordered consistently for 4days straight without fail. Read on and you might see more similar dishes. haha.
People at this diner were to first to comment that we looked so much like the locals there. and comments of such didnt stop there! Practically everywhere we went, Thailand-ers said we look just like Thais!
Okay. Fastforward to our days in PhiPhi Island now. It was gotta be one of the most amazing island I have ever explored!! So much of warmth the moment we alighted from the ferry. Met this local who walked us to our hotel bcos we kinda got lost between the small roads which kept dividing into mini lanes.
We've been sunkissed on the head! First daylight in PhiPhi. Tbh, Im not someone who really loves the sun, but was taken aback by how beautiful a beach could ever be! Apparently same local who walked us to our hotels works along the beach and gave us discounts for renting bed chairs! $.$!!
Colors of every shot fell into place and really didnt need a filter. Seemed like every picture was an effortless postcard shot!
Had our go at walking up to the viewpoint which was..... so.... very..... challenging. Steep slopes, steep steps and mosquito bites. Once we were up there, the view was pretty worth the walk up. We could see the entire of phiphi island. Stayed there and watched the sunset before we headed down back to our hotel to freshen up and..... head out again for the night life. hehehe.
Yipes to the really hapz nightlife there! Honestly Sing and I were almost almost almost the only 2 asians there. Every ones were Caucasians or Thais working there. Hung out two nights straight at the same bar before we bar hopped a whilst walking back to our hotel. Really really nice bartenders who made us drinks and shot on the house!!! hahhaa. We got weary for a while, but in the end, decided to go with the flow and partied 2 nights straight along the beach. #crushedit
Got some neon lights "tattoo" on the second party night. So loved the neon drawing that I didn't wanna remove it when I slept that night. hahahaha.
Did some island hoping, and was so so very veryyyyy stoked by each beach and bay. The below pictures are self-explanatory to how amazing the other side of Thailand could every be. Check em out!
Picture taken whilst on the long tail boat. Snapshot of the bay in Monkey beach.
Boat couldn't reach the pier bcos it was too rocky, so it had to stop among the clear waters.
Really nice place to snorkel!!! but..... I couldn't snorkel. :/
Mosquito island. Its believed this island got its name of it is shaped of a mosquito when viewed from the top. Nevertheless, another amazement when looking into the clear blue/green waters.
Funny how one island to the other didnt take much travelling time, but the waters.... so refined and defined.
Mambo beach!!! this was the first stop of our island hoping day tour and was also one of the two favorite island of mine!
See the in synced clear blue skies and sea!! This has got to be one of those effortless post card shot snapped.
Another fave beach was maya bay. Sadly no photos of that beach cos we didnt bring our phones down to the bay. But if I could, would definitely wanna go back to that bay again!
Had banana pancakes almost everyday I was there, and I could have it again and again and again!! Apparently, Bangkok, which Ive been to every year has them but Ive not tried them there before. Seems like condensed milk makes everything taste awesome. hahaha.
Meals over the entire trip, our usual dishes. hahhaa. Glad that we don't have picky taste buds. Or rather, we were really really reallyyyyyyyy into Thai food every single day when we were there.
Paddlepop skylights! Thats not something you can see everyday in SG. I could stare at it for the longest time ever and wonder where/when I will experience my epiphany. Or have I?? Hmm...
Here's a touristy shot before I end off this post. I have to say, I love PhiPhi! and will definitely be back there again when I need a breather from the stressful SG life. The people over there never seems to grow old. Everyone was so hyped and young and ever so ready to party every single night!
Be back for your warmth and parties, PhiPhi!! :)) ~
